We are pleased to announce the presentation of awards to performing artists, songwriters, choreographers, dancers, dance troupes, halaus, musicians, filmmakers, designers (including costume and hair) that have made outstanding contributions in island music and dance.


HOW SELECTIONS ARE MADE


The Awards Team will attend performances of individuals and groups throughout the year and makes selections. Also, videos of performances will be viewed by the Awards Team if unable to attend locally and/or out of state performances. The Awards Team is an anonymous group.

Awards will come in the form of certificates, plaques, and trophies*


THE JU’BAL LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD


In Genesis 4:21 it says about Ju’bal: “He was the founder of all those who play the harp and the pipe (or “flute”)”. Since, Ju’bal is described as the "ancestor of all who played the harp and flute." It is fitting that he is also recognized and that the award be named after him.


The Ju’Bal Lifetime Achievement Award be given to individual performing artists showing outstanding performances and also includes being reliable and dependable as it relates to attending their schedule performances.
